HackConf 2021 Online is looking for speakers

А few months from now, on October 22-23, HackConf 2021 will take place in the online space. 🛰️

Come and share with us what you've been working on! We're looking for talk and workshop proposals!

How will HackConf 2021 Online look like?

Conference day - October 22 (Friday)

▪️ The conference day program will be between 2 PM and 8 PM EEST.

▪️ Featuring 3 parallel tracks of talks and discussions:

🧭 Adventurer track that will help novice developers to learn and grow.

🧙 Magician track that will feature the best content for seasoned developers.

🦸 Visioner track for future features and trends in the software development industry.

▪️ Every conference speaker will have 50 minutes to present their topic and answer questions from the audience. Distributed as follows:

🔸30 minutes for the talk and 20 minutes for Q&A

🔸40 minutes for the talk and 10 minutes for Q&A

▪️ We'll have a physical studio in Sofia where all speakers in Bulgaria are welcome to present on Friday.

▪️ All speakers from abroad will be able to join and present live.

▪️ Unfortunately, this year we won't cover travel and accommodation expenses for speakers.

▪️ We believe in the connection between speakers and audience - that's why we want to have live and not prerecorded talks.

Workshops day - October 23 (Saturday)

▪️ The workshop's day program will be between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM EEST.

▪️ All workshop speakers will have up to 3 hours for their sessions.

▪️ All workshops will be held online.

▪️ Every speaker can set specific requirements for their workshop, which attendees have to meet.

▪️ Workshops will be small-sized, for up to 15 participants.

What are we looking for?

We believe that the best talks are the ones that our audience can use in their work after the conference. We particularly favor talks that either contain practical takeaways for the audience or take the form of a story that can inspire our attendees or help them avoid common mistakes. We are aiming to have a balance of topics!

We're open to all kinds of ideas, especially ones we haven't thought of!

Technical workshops tend to be more popular, but we welcome all topics! Workshops can be targeted at any experience level; be sure to indicate what you expect your students to know already or have experience within your proposal!
